The new base is non-occlusive and the rebalancing of the 5% lidocaine base to a pH of 7 (safe for use around the eyes) makes it the anesthetic of choice for eyeliner and thin skin applications. Zone 2 - This 5% lidocaine gel anesthetic is the most powerful level of anesthetic available over-the-counter anesthetic that is SAFE FOR USE IN ALL TYPES OF BROKEN SKIN PROCEDURES. It is not a pre-procedure deadener and ineffective when applied to intact skin.
